manifest of authenticity
VF-0.7 / authentic image
In an age where algorithms fabricate memories faster than we can recall them, authenticity becomes resistance. Each image within The Void Fraction is captured in the world, not generated from it.They carry the residue of a real encounter — dust, light, ruin —
evidence of a presence that once was.
These photographs are not proof of truth; they are traces that refuse deletion. They exist between what is visible and what is remembered,
between the architecture of war and the architecture of data.
The project’s verification marks (QR or fractional codes) do not serve as decoration or branding. They exist to signal a commitment: that the image before you was once seen, touched, and translated through human experience — not hallucination.
To authenticate is not to certify.
It is to preserve the fragile connection between the eye and the world,
between silence and its echo.
Each verification page acts as a digital relic — a small resistance against the erasure of history, and against the ease with which fiction now mimics fact. The Void Fraction thus stands not as an archive, but as an anatomy of memory: fragments that remain intact precisely because they are real.
Authenticity Record / VF-0.7
A verified document of The Void Fraction project.Captured on location and presented without synthetic alteration, it represents a real moment, a residue of encounter.
Each verified image within The Void Fraction carries a mark of resistance —
a gesture against the frictionless invention of memory.Verification is not an act of bureaucracy, but of care: to preserve what has been witnessed from the flood of fabrication.

System Statement
This verification system is an experimental framework designed to preserve digital authenticity in photography. Each verified image is linked to a unique cryptographic hash stored within the Void Fraction.
Although this prototype operates manually, its structure is conceptually scalable: a simple backend could automate hash generation, QR linking, and metadata publishing. The project explores how artistic authorship, authenticity, and data permanence can coexist — forming a micro-standardfor visual truth in the age of synthetic media.
“To authenticate is not to certify. It is to remember against erasure.”
